Dr. Michael Greeff

Dr. Michael Greeff studied biology at the University of Zurich and completed his doctorate at ETH Zurich on the evolution of sexual reproduction in various model organisms. After a post-doc in bioinformatics at the Helmholtz Zentrum München, he was involved in the founding of the start-up company Clueda AG with 30 employees, where he led the development of medical software products.Â
Since 2018, he has been curator at the Entomological Collection of ETH Zurich, which includes the digitization of two million insects and the organization of numerous exhibitions and popular science events. He also teaches basic lectures on the biodiversity of arthropods and the history of science and advises the Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT) and other institutions as an expert.
