Dr. Quint Rusman

I am an entomologist interested in the ecology and evolution of plant-insect interactions and the role of plant phenotypic plasticity. Currently, I work as a Senior Assistant in the lab of Prof. Florian Schiestl at the Institute of Systematic and Evolutionary Botany at the University of Zürich. My research includes how global warming influences the coevolution of field mustard (Brassica rapa) with the small cabbage white butterfly (Pieris rapae) and the effects of herbivory on plant interactions with flower-associated organisms. In my spare time, I like to go hiking in the Swiss mountains and look for orchids, bees, beetles, and reptiles like snakes and lizards.Â
